Cosmetology falls under work-related when parlours have an operating license and a specifically specified license to teach studies that culminate in certification/license of a specific technology.
Definitions of cosmetology:
The word cosmetology is used here, as the word cosmetology encompasses a certified profession. The rule discussed here therefore covers all other studies that are considered cosmetology but have not been certified in Iceland, according to the following list:
• 1. Makeup
• 2. Nail art, including the application of artificial nails
• 3. Eyelash application, eyelash extensions
• 4. Permanent eyebrow makeup
Schools that teach cosmetology must meet the following requirements for the program they offer to be eligible for funding as a work-related program:
• Have a operating and teaching license and text stating that the licenses are available on their website and be able to present a certificate upon request.
• Have all invoices itemised, clearly showing costs for education and supplies.
• Meet the fund's requirements for courses, see here.
• Provide the student with a diploma/certificate of recognition at the end of their studies.
